My website does not work anymore after the update.

If your website does not work anymore after the update, you should first check (e.g. with the Contao Check) whether all files have been updated. If there is an error message, you can look it up on Google or post it in the Contao forums to get help solving the problem.

Problems are mostly caused by third-party extensions being no longer compatible. Therefore make sure to check your installed extensions and disable or delete them for test purposes.

If you cannot repair the website, you should consider downgrading to the previous version. If the back end is still available, you can downgrade directly in the Live Update client. Otherwise please restore the backup which you have created before the Live Update.
